4D Prince of Persia

Action Game (1991)
Download 4D Prince of Persia
As 4D Prince of Persia reminded me an awful lot of Prince of Persia 1, I at first thought that this was the same game. And some of the levels looked very similar to the levels in Prince of Persia 1.

But it's not the same game. It uses the exact same pictures and gameplay as Prince of Persia 1 and I think you could see this one as some kind of level expansion.
I'm not even sure if you could call it a sequel, because it's so similar.

" So what's Prince of Persia about? ", You will ask. Well, it seems to me that you ought to know that, but as you appear not to, I will tell you! In Prince of Persia you're a prince who has lost his girlfriend. Well, actually, she's been kidnapped and hidden in a big "fortress". Your mission is to save her. There are persian guards to block your way and you will have to fight them with your sword.
You've got exactly 60 minutes to save her and no options to save your game. Every level actually is a level up inside the fortress

All by all, the original caught me playing for quite a few hours, with good graphics, a very nice sound setup and good gameplay and I recommend it to you.

This game is a remake of an original Prince of Persia game. This game features all-new graphic style with vector sprites and animation, but the same sounds. The mission stayed the same from the original - save the princess. At the start of the game you will get a sword which will help you fight off the guards - your long-time enemies. This game also features new challenging levels that no normal gamer wouldn't notice. It is an all-time favorite for anyone who has ever played the original or its second part. I recommend this game for any hard-core collector, even if the Prince of Persia is what he hates. This game won't be ignored, 'cause of it's renewed graphics and sound.
But let's look at the dark side of it. The game is still played in MS-DOS, so if you won't have a chance to install Windows 98 on your beast, you'll have to use an emulator program, such as DOSBox, or else you will have troubles running it. The second trouble is the controls - when I played this I had no idea which key to press to slash my sword. Therefore, I had troubles passing one level when the first ever guard always killed me in my state of ignorance.
Well, all I can say is that the game truly worth your attention. Being a Prince of Persia hater I couldn't resist playing that game. It will suck you up in its world and leave no mark behind it. So, you have to be careful :) But, seriously, the game is so addicting, you will have to play it, skipping showers and dinners, until you finally end the battle by ending the game and saving your princess. Of course, there’s a limit applied on a game. You can play this until the time runs out, and then, it’s game over for you, my lad.
This game strangely resembles Aladdin. In that game you too have to save the princess, fight Jaffar (the name is the same in both games) and use your sword to fight off guards. Strange, isn’t it? Well, as I said before, I’m no fan of the Prince, so I may not know a lot. And now for the final part – technical stuff ‘n such. The game was originally released on Apple II and then made its way through the most popular consoles of 90’s. So if you have that kind of console, you might be reunited with the favorite game of all times.
