You have no idea what I'm talking about??? About Micro Machines 2 offcourse. Choose your driver and your car/helicopter/boat etc. and go driving on kitchentables, through waterpipes and much more!
Compete against other (computer or human) players or race in a tournament. It's an original game, the graphics are good, the sounds are allright and the game is addicting as hell!

Micro Machines 2…..this game is one of my favorites of all time. The quick turns and flying jumps are wicked and take great reflexes to master. There are dozens of courses to choose from, including tracks on table tops, pool tables, bath tubs and even making your own wild race. Take a regular car, a truck, or even a helicopter or hovercraft on the insane courses to become the TURBO TOURNAMENT CHAMPION!
Now to those who also have experience with the first game, the controls are somewhat different. There seems to be slightly less turning power, making the game more realistic and challenging. As you speed around the tracks, there is no brake option; you have the gas pedal and less of it. This creates a great environment for wild crashes and crazy stunts. Another difficult aspect of Micro Machines 2 is the hate and prejudice of the AI towards all humans. They will do anything in their power to take you out of the lead. The AI will push you into obstacles, such as screwdrivers, bolts, glue puddles and oil slicks, or even bump you off the board, which is not hard to do, by the way. However, they are nothing compared to humans and their dirty tricks. This may even include real world fighting as the only multiplayer is hot seat and three hands on a keyboard is mighty uncomfortable.
The graphics….oh, how they wowed us all when we first played Micro Machines 2: Turbo Tournament. With sharp, crisp colors and wonderful drawings, the game’s graphics are amazing. Just kidding, the graphics get the job done, but they are rather blocky from lack of more pixels. The music is also unexciting; it fits the mood, but repeats quite a bit.
Altogether, it a wonderful game that I love and enjoy. I play it for hours at a time, immersed in the tiny world. Racing around and around might seem unattractive, but this is the only racing game I play consistently. Compared to newer racing games, such as Project Gotham, the new ones just do not match up. This is because Micro Machines 2: Turbo Tournament is not great for the graphics or music, but for the solid, inner core of game play. This is what makes the game attractive to nearly everyone and awesome fun every time you play it. So download a copy today and get addicted to one of the greatest racing games of all time. |
