This game cought me playing through the night for quite some time. I love it! I really do! It's one of the classic Sim series. Yeah, those Sim series that made you play until midnight, that's right!
The objective in this game is to build a giant appartment building. You can build offices, houses, hotel rooms, restaurants, parking lots and much much more. But make sure the neigbours don't make too much noise, because people won't want to live in a noisy neighbourhood. |

| With the profit, you can add another level on your building, under or above the ground! Keep an eye on the elevators, they shouldn't be too full and don't let people wait too long for them. People are more likely to use the elevator if they want to get down from the 84th level. Yes, they're very lazy, I agree. Well, be sure that you don't miss out on this classic. If you like sims, this is a must have. |

This game is one of the classics. I played it 10 years ago, 5 years ago and even now. It does not take too long time to finish it and you can try different strategies everytime.
In this game you build your own tower. Everything you build makes you to gain money. You can build hotel rooms or condos or offices and rent them, you can also sell them for good. Then you can build commercial stores and gain mooney from them. Every achievement you build enables you to build new features.
I think the most important thing to be careful about is the elevators. Threre are limited number of elevators and escalators that you can use and you should plan it very carefully. I remmeber that I heard something about the game which says it was first an elevator simulator made for a company than the programmer guys make it as a game. I don't know if it is true or not but definitely the elevator plannning is the most difficult and important issue in the game. It is important because if you can't plan it well, the poeple living and working at your tower wait long times for elevator and that makes them unhappy and they leave the tower, which results in less profits for you.
Also, as the game progresses, lots of new things come and they are really funny to deal with like underground parking and metro, fires, movie theaters, security, etc. Even if it is a very old game it has so complicated events and there is a way more details than you expect from it.
I want to share some of my experiences also. First of all every 15 floors you can build lobbies where people can rest and go to your shops, which makes you gain more money. Also that helps you to put express elevator services to these lobbies and you can connect the other floors next to them by stairs or normal elevators. Also, seperate every kind of facilities, I mean offices, condos and hotel rooms evenly for the 14 floors between the lobbies. It is good to do that because if you put 14 floors of office area everybody wants to use the elevators at the same time and this causes big trouble, but the times for hotel customers, condos, and office areas are different so the people distribute evenly at those hours.
As a conclusion, I really liked SimTower a lot and it is a game that I can play anytime. It is easy to learn, fun to play and does not take long time to finish. I strongly recommend it to everybody. |
