Fifa International Soccer

Sports Game (1994)
Download Fifa International Soccer
Not a bad game, certainly not a bad game. Compared to the latest FIFA games, it's not much if you look at the graphics, at the gameplay or the sounds. But it sure is a nice game to play! It's in the World Cup '94, pick a team and lead them to that Cup! The best team (of course) being the EA Allstars, but it's kind of realistic. The best team will certainly have bigger chances of winning.
But the game is very hard to play, passing is not really well done, so I would recommend to only use the shoot button during the whole game. That makes it very hard to play! I must say, this game has its charms and it's fun to play, but I can see why Die-Hard soccer gamers prefer the latest FIFA series over this one! Download it to see where it all started, but if you like soccer games, this would be nice in your collection, but you will find yourself playing the newest games more than this one, I'm sure!

This game won't work in Windows! Run config.exe to set the sound settings!

FIFA International Soccer was released in 1994 and made by Electronic Arts, Inc. It is based on the 1994 World Cup. FIFA International Soccer was the birth to the soccer video gaming industry. It has grown since then but no one can forget where it all came from. What you do at the start is pick a team and try bringing them to the World Cup. My recommendation for a team would be, of course, the EA All Star Team. But, it is not like they are far superior above any other team...you still have to try. But, they are good for first-timers to the game and give you the advantage above all other teams. The real names of players are not used in the video game, but if you are a soccer junkie, you should be able to recognize a few players from your favorite team.
This is a very entertaining game for the graphically challenged computer. Like modern FIFA/soccer video games, FIFA International Soccer does a decent portrayal on the game play of soccer. But, unlike those games, FIFA International Soccer does not compare to realistic and sophistication of those up to date games. As far as the physics of the game goes, the passing between players and some of the moves are hard to do. Unless your teammate is wide open, you should not attempt a pass. The best strategy would be to pass as little as you can and never stop. The only reasonable move in the game is shooting into the goal. Since you do not really have to aim, you can just hit the shoot button and pray it goes in. The controls are a little weird, so make sure you concentrate on your skills of the controls before getting too serious with the game. The power meter is pretty easy to use. Nothing seems to happen (like a wild kick) if you charge it too much. So, for every shot make sure you get that bar all the way to the end.
I would recommend this one if you want some simple soccer game. The sound is alright, pretty good for its time.
